Updates from this week...

I just have a few updates from all over this week! Between packing and watching the baby girl I have had little internet time lately!

Scarlett had her 6 month checkup on Thursday. She's doing well and weighs 16 lbs 11oz and is 26 1/2 inches long. She's grown almost 2 inches and a pound and a half since her 4 month checkup! Poor girl got some shots, so she was a bit out of sorts for a day, but is doing much better now.

Cameron found out this week he was nominated for a Dental Honors Society. Only the best of the best get in...he was one of 4 in his class of almost 40. He's got a fancy dinner to go to on Thursday at the Harvard Club to celebrate his induction.

Graduation is coming up very soon, so everyone is trying to get together as much as possible to hang out before everyone moves all over the country. Last weekend we went down to the waterfront for a get together with the 3rd and 4th year classes. Friday, Cameron went on a Sam Adams Brewery tour and downtown drinking with some friends (Scarlett and I did not attend those festivities!). Yesterday was a cookout at the school for the 4th year class. We had some good food and enjoyed visiting with everyone. Scarlett did really well for a couple hours too! Scarlett got her first taste of veggies today with some sweet potatoes. She has recently decided that she doesn't like rice cereal, so I decided to give her some sweet potatoes in an experiment to see if it was the cereal or the spoon experience she doesn't care for. Turns out, it's the cereal. She gobbled up her sweet potatoes. Here's a shot of the aftermath:

It's official...We're homeowners!!

Well, I guess this post is a little bit late, but we are officially homeowners now!! The closing was yesterday at 11am, and everything went smoothly. We had a re-inspect done on Wednesday and everything is all set with the repairs. It's ready to move in! It's a little anticlimactic for us since we have to wait a whole month to start moving in. I'm so excited though and am already planning out in my head where all our stuff is going to go! I guess my next project here is going to be packing....ugggg. I hate packing, and so far it's going REALLY slow! Cameron only has to go to school one more day though, so he should be around to help now.

We celebrated last night with a delicious dinner prepared by yours truly...thanks to a little help from Kraft foods. We had shrimp pasta with fresh tomatoes and basil, salad, bread and I made the ultimate fudge layer cake with some vanilla bean ice cream. We both ate WAY too much...but that's what celebrations are for I guess :o) We still have tons of cake left, so I guess it's more celebrating for the next few nights. Today marked my very first mother's day! I got a chicken biscuit and an iced coffee for breakfast...yum! Then Scarlett let me open my present...new shorts and 3 new tank tops from Old Navy! Here's a few pictures of the occasion:

Nothing Exciting From Here...

So I've been falling down on the blogging, but only because there's nothing really exciting from here! We got our boxes on Monday...and I mean like a million boxes. They are seriously almost stacked to the ceiling. As excited as I am about moving, I am NOT excited about packing. Yuck.

We had a fairly quiet week here. Scarlett's still doing well with her cereal...eating it once a day in the morning. After she gets used to it in a few weeks we get to start fruits and veggies...yum! In the meantime her new favorite thing to eat are her toes. It's really pretty hilarious and kind of gross all at the same time.

Cameron's parents will be here tomorrow for a weekend visit. No big outings planned for their visit...just visiting and catching up!

Mmmm....Cereal

Scarlett had her first taste of food this morning...rice cereal! She did really well with it. She opened her mouth for me and seemed to like it okay. Definitely a new experience for her! Here's some pictures of the big event:Ready to go...looks yummy!
