Girl's Day
Cameron went with buddies to the LSU game today, so Scarlett, Elle and I had girl's day. Of course Cameron says EVERY day is girls day around here, but hey, we had a girly girl's day today :o) After Cameron left, the girls and I went to Target for a little shopping. When we pulled in the parking lot, Scarlett said "Mom, this isn't girl's day - this is TARGET!". I had to explain that "girl's day" wasn't an actual destination - it was doing fun things together. So after Target and nap we made cookies with pink icing and sprinkles, went to Chickfila for dinner then finished up the day with watching Strawberry Shortcake princess something something (I don't know...we found it at Target and Scarlett loved it...obviously). The only thing we didn't get to was doing our toenails, so we'll do that tomorrow. Here's a few pictures I took this morning. Well, more than a few, but they are all so cute that I couldn't pick.
This one was actually last (they uploaded in reverse) - They were DONE!

"Rapunzel makes me feel better"
Scarlett had her flu shot after school today. I KNEW it was going to cost me, so we asked her yesterday what she wanted as a prize for getting a shot. She said the big soft Rapunzel from the princess store. So Elle and I trekked it to the mall this morning to get Rapunzel. Scarlett was a little fiesty this afternoon, but with Rapunzel making repeated appearances, she behaved herself. I took her with me to watch me get my flu shot, then she was all over going to her doctor to get hers. She sat on the table and even laid back and watched the nurse do the shot. As soon as it hit she screamed, then whimpered for a good half an hour or so. "It hurts, it HURTS...but 'Punzle makes me feel better". She also required a Barbie bandaid over the boring one from the doctor and had to hold her princess cold pack on her leg for awhile. Oh, and a green sucker.
Elle's 2 month checkup and more from the weekend
Here's the girls playing together this weekend. Scarlett loves to get under genius dome with Elle! She's always telling me to scoot Elle over so she can get under there too.

Lost in translation
So yesterday Scarlett was showing me how they pray in school and she said "we say Father, Son, Prince Philip and Mary". I guess she had princesses on the brain (Prince Philip is Sleeping Beauty's prince)! When I asked her about it again later she said "NO mom, it's Father, Son and HOLY SPIRIT".

Mom of the year goes to...
KALEY's mom. So here's the story. Thursday was opening day for the Saints and it was also black and gold day at school. The kids could wear Saints shirts to school instead of their uniforms. Well, I didn't know about this till I picked her up from school on Wednesday and there was a note in her folder. So we went to the mall in search of a Saints shirt. They had black ones and gold ones, but no pink ones. You've met my daughter, right? It HAS to be pink. So we searched a few stores in the mall...no luck. We went home and the minute Scarlett woke up from nap we went to a sports store, Wal Mart and even Rouses since I'd seen them there before. Nothing. All sold out. The only pink one in Wal Mart was a 12 month size...that would never do. So Scarlett went to school on Thursday in her uniform. She DID have a Saints hairbow, but well, that just wasn't good enough. On the way to school Friday, Scarlett says "Mom - William had a go saints shirt and Colin had a go saints shirt and Kaley had a PINK go saints shirt and I didn't". I TRIED!! So anyway, Friday I tried again and went to Target and to my amazement they had some in her size!! So here's the happiest girl on the block yesterday. Now she's all set for the next black and gold day at school!

Pictures from the Weekend
Heartbreak for Daddy
Well, maybe just a little. A month ago, Daddy was Scarlett's best friend. Last night at dinner, she told us that JOSHUA is her best friend. Oh, and she's going to marry William. I told her I was going to have to meet this kid first!

Sleeping Beauty, School and a Self Portrait
Here's my sweet sleeping girl. Enjoy this picture because I woke her up taking it :o)
Scarlett is a dawdler. She takes FOREVER to get anywhere. So we were running dangerously close to being late for school the other day, so to get her in the car I said she could look at my phone. Well, we're right around the corner from school and I start hearing the camera sound going off. Here's just 3 of the 13 she took in the minute we had left to get to school.

School is still going well. Scarlett's learning the other kids names, so every day she comes home with a story to share about who she played with that day. Yesterday Victoria brought bear cookies for snack and she held Scarlett's hand. On Wednesday she told me that William has a baby in his family just like her. Last week she told me she likes to play with Brycen, Josh, Olivia and Jonathan.
The principal greets the kids at the gate on the way into school every morning. Now Scarlett's school has 700 kids - PK2 through 7th grade. This morning she greeted Scarlett by name and told her to have a fantastic day. I thought that was pretty impressive!
