Summer is officially here!

It all the sudden hit one million degrees this week, just in time for school to let out! Today was Scarlett's last day of PK2. Kind of sad...my baby is going to PK3! Haha...yes, I know it's still PK and she's still forever away from real school, but she's not the baby of the school anymore! I'm not really sure she knows what's ahead of her with summer break. She has no real sense of time - she just knows school is closed til Mommy's birthday. She asked me yesterday that since her school was closed, could she go to another school now? Haha... Well, we are working on that...sort of. I am looking into princess ballet camp for her. I MAY have mentioned something about it yesterday. She announced to Cameron when he walked in the door "My mommy says I get to go to ballet school now!!!".
Yep, she is SO ready for it! Too bad it's only a week. I think she could do this ALL summer long.

Of course now we have plenty of time for sisterly bonding

And we'll be seeing these kids again before we know it :o) This is Scarlett and her best friend Tori and another little boy from her class, Justin at Tori's birthday party last weekend.

A little bit crowded

This is how she sleeps every night. She doesn't seem to need much room for herself! She DOES need 4 babies, 4 puppies, 3 blankets, a stack of books, a nightlight and 3 Hello Kitties though. It's all pretty much essential.

Big girls

These girls are getting so big! Scarlett is about to finish up PK2. So hard to believe! She's learned so much this year. She can identify all her letters and her numbers 1-6 (and sometimes 7,8,9). She's coloring more in the lines now and loves to pretend to write. She told me a few days ago "Hola Mommy. Can you say rojo?". I guess that spanish class really does teach her something :o) Her newest skill is cutting with scissors. They do a lot of cutting in PK3, so Mrs. Amy suggested that they start working on that skill now. I bought her a pair of preschool scissors and let her go to town. She's actually pretty good!

Our big girl Elle is out of her infant seat and into her big girl car seat. She seems to love it! She was singing and squealing and laughing when I put her in it for the first time this afternoon.

Mother's Day

I had a fantastic Mother's Day today. I took the girls to the store this morning while we waited on Cameron to get off (he was on call last night) and Scarlett picked me out a cake and flowers. As soon as Cameron got home they gave me my present - new shorts! YAY! Just what I needed. And 2 very sweet cards. We all went to brunch at Copelands. It was a fun day!

My card from the girls. Scarlett drew me a princess <3
Sweet babies!

Outside Time

We're always playing outside...either here or at the park. I just went through my phone and found a few cute pictures from the last few weeks.

Elle has discovered the slide. Fun for her - not so much for my back! Of course she can't do it on her own yet, so I slide her up and down.

Here's Scarlett and 2 of her buddies - Raymond and Grayson
Scarlett coloring the sidewalks
Elle playing with the grass (and trying to eat it) while Scarlett colored
Park date today - Elle and Chloe (They are a little over 4 months apart)

The good thing about crawling...

Is that you can put these cute little ruffles on Elle's bottom! Not sure what these little monkeys are doing...

Wish the ruffles showed up better in the pictures. They are SO cute in person!
