Pasadena River

Welcome to Southeast Louisiana. We had a little rain today, and well, that resulted in a little river down Pasadena. Luckily the water never got higher than this, so Cameron's baby "white car" (as Scarlett calls it) was safe! Here's Scarlett surveying the river. Yeah, you like her "jacket"? That's a 0-3 month onesie she's sporting. She pulled it out of her baby doll clothes and insisted on wearing it. Still buttons, but notice the little feet right at her butt. Haha. She wore this thing for HOURS today.

Santa Pictures

We went for Scarlett's Santa pictures today. I was all excited that she'd do GREAT since this was her 4th time to sit on his lap, but I think the picture part freaked her out, because she didn't cooperate quite as well as I would have liked. The picture came out ok - not great.

She was, of course a HUGE fan of the train - as always. Grayson and Will are in the car with her.

Scarlett's Build a Bear Party

We had a great birthday weekend! Thanks to everyone who made the trip down and for all our friends that joined us at Build a Bear! Scarlett had a great time!

After stuffing, she gave her a really long bath!!

After bears, we headed to tables in the food court for cake and presents. Scarlett especially enjoyed the icing.Back at home Scarlett took a little nap (finally) and when she got up she had more presents from her grandparents, aunts and uncle, followed by dinner of "tea fries" aka Canes chicken fingers, fries and sweet tea (along with some other yummy sides), and finally, the thing she had been waiting for for months...Barbie cake!!

Scarlett likes "Cheese"

We had spaghetti for dinner tonight. As I always do, I made spaghetti noodles for Cameron and I and mini bowties for Scarlett (just easier for her to eat). She normally downs her food without a second glance at ours, but not tonight. She kept eyeing my plate, then Cameron's plate and telling me she wanted cheese too. Ummm...ok, well there was no cheese to be seen. Tried to tell her to eat her pasta, but she said "no, mommy cheese". Then proceeded to start grabbing and downing my spaghetti noodles. "Nummy NUMMY CHEESE!!" Haha...that girl is so silly! But she ate and ate and ate that "cheese".

Our baby girl turned 2 today! She was SO excited. She's been telling me "my birthday Tuesday" for a few days now. She was most excited about "birthday cake and presents". We had playdate this morning so she got to play with her friends Will and Grayson, then we came home and after an unsuccessful attempt at a nap, she opened presents and we ate dinner and birthday brownies! (I thought cake today, cupcakes Saturday morning and cake Saturday night was a bit overkill on the cake thing...). Scarlett especially loved the icing.

Starting to open - she got a new baby doll from Grandma and Grandpa Barnes. She LOVES it! It's in her bed right now. She loves that it came with "shampoo" so she can give her a bath.Little People castle from Randy and Jennifer - another hit!

Vacuum from me and Cameron (she LOVES to clean up!)Also presents I didn't happen to get a picture of - from me and Cameron princess dress up shoes, the new Tinkerbell movie, a Snow White playset and Ariel and Belle mini dolls and from Ray and Nina and Lisa and Ryan - If you take a Mouse to the Movies book and matching mouse doll (Loves that too! - we've read the book over and over already!) and from Grandpa a Toys R Us gift card. Thanks everyone!!
Here's the birthday girl with her birthday brownies. She was even able to blow out the candles all by herself!

We are excited about more birthday fun this weekend with Gigi and Donk, Gammie and Papa (and Peach!), Coco and Grandpa and Uncle Colin in town. And of course we can't wait for the Build a Bear party with our friends! More pictures to come soon!
