Watch out!

This girl is getting places!! It's not a full on crawl yet...yesterday was army style, today was a one knee one foot kind of style, but the girl is EVERYWHERE! And Scarlett is all about showing her the ropes. "Follow me Elle!"

Seaside

We enjoyed a fantastic weekend in Seaside, FL over Easter. The beach house was beautiful and the girls love love loved the beach! Both were thrilled with the water and playing around in the sand. We had beach time, pool time, playground and playhouse time and some time to walk around the little town.

Last Thursday was Scarlett's school Easter party. Elle and I got to come along for all the excitement!

Baby Egg Hunt

Elle and I went to the Moms club egg hunt this morning. She had a blast!!

Here's her socializing with all her baby friends. All of them are within a couple months of Elle's age, so it was a perfect group! So cute to watch them interact!

Bugs!!

We had our very first trip to the Audubon Insectarium today. I was a little scared of this, but it was actually fun! Haha...the bugs were gross and we did have a few "AHH, EWW" moments :o) There was a really nice butterfly room at the end though. I definitely had to run past the cockroaches to get there :o)

Sisterly Love

Elle was fussing in her exersaucer as I tried to eat lunch, so the sweet little helpful Scarlett came to the rescue and dumped a whole bin of baby animals on her. AND brought her Strawberry Shortcake. And Elle stopped crying :o)

Getting ready for Easter!

We are getting ready for Easter - a few weeks early! We decided to dye eggs yesterday, because we really don't need them for Easter day. No one in this family is going to eat a boiled egg and we are definitely not hunting eggs with those! It's all about the dying experience for us!

9 Months

Elle turned 9 months last Friday. She had her checkup today (no shots!). She's 18 lbs 13 oz and 27 1/2 inches long now. That's 55% for weight, 65% for height. We get to work on transitioning to table foods now - that means 3rd foods, "blue dinners" aka graduates and some mushy table foods. She's still not crawling - just rolling, scooting, walking holding my hands and of course pulling up on stuff (mostly ME!). Still no teeth either and dr. says none are imminent!

Three Going on Fifteen - Part 2

Just a few little gems from my conversation with Scarlett Friday after school -

Scarlett: Mom, Chad was saying bad words at school today, so I pretended to wash his mouth out with soap.
Me: (Laughing) Well, what did he do?
Scarlett: He said "yuck" and ran away!

A few minutes later-

Me: Scarlett - who did you play with today?
Scarlett: William and Tori. They are my best friends. But not Cecelia because she says William is HER William, but William is MY William. So I'm not friends with her.

Great...the boy drama starts at 3!

And finally - I like to ask her about random kids in her class because she usually come out with stuff like this:

Me: Do you ever play with Ian?
Scarlett: NO. He's bad. He causes a ruckus!! He doesn't sit at his seat at the table.

Zoo Day

Scarlett was out of school today so we met up with some friends and had a zoo day. We corralled 8 kids under 4 through the zoo and everyone had a really good time!
