2 year checkup
Ok, so I'm way behind on this update. Elle had her 2 year old checkup last week. She's 26 lbs (30%) and 35 inches (75%). A bit underweight for her height, but nothing that the doctor was too concerned with. She said everything looked great! She is at a high risk of having a peanut allergy too since it's very common among siblings (and the doctor looked at them and said - especially ones THAT similar). So for now we aren't exposing her to peanuts. Which is easy since I don't even have any in the house!
We started a little bit of potty training, but she's not catching on very quickly (she knows WHAT to do, just can't seem to hold it or recognize BEFORE she's actually going yet). She's still very young, so we may just wait another few weeks or so to try a little harder. For now, she just yells "uh oh, PEE PEES!"as she is going.
A few more stats on our little Elle -
Her favorite shows are Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Bubble Guppies ("Bubble Dum Dums")
She can name all her princesses and has a great love for Barbies
She would wear a tutu all day every day if you let her
Sandra Boynton is her very favorite author
Her favorite food is vegetables - any kind any way. She loves them. It's the first thing gone off her plate. I have to BEG her to eat everything else.
She still loves to swing. She would swing all day if I let her. "More weee more wee!"
She's starting school in August. She will be in Mrs. Amy's PK2 class (same class that Scarlett was in). It's no longer St. Philip, although it's still on their campus. Her school is now known as Ms. Mandy's Early Learning Center (the nursery and PK2 kids now have a new director). I know the first week or two will be rough with leaving me, but she's so friendly and outgoing with other kids that I just know she's going to love going to be with her friends for a few hours a day!

Photo Shoot
Who doesn't love a good rainy day photo shoot?
Oh wait, THIS GIRL!
There's a good one
Love this one!
Wardrobe change! Mexico dresses!
What's my secret to so many smiles? Jellybeans of course...
This one I think is my favorite
Well duh, Puppy had to get a picture too.
Kind of unrelated to the photo shoot (although this looks staged). We were eating dinner and Abbie was being very quiet. I got up to get Scarlett her treat and we saw this:

Elle is 2!
Our sweet Elle Reagan turned 2 today! We had a family party in Atlanta last month, followed by a playdate party here the next week. It was just the 4 of us to celebrate today on her actual birthday. We made a full day of it starting with Krispy Kreme for breakfast. We played here all morning while Cameron went to work for a little bit, then we all went out to lunch at Jimmy Johns. The girls took an early nap and when they got up, we went to the mall and Elle built a bear. I had tried out a new recipe for her birthday cake that sounded amazing - a giant brownie ice cream sandwich with M&M's, but unfortunately it did not work out (the ice cream squished out of the sides of the brownie sandwich. Pinterest fail. Anyway, Great American Cookie came to the rescue with a delicious cookie cake! After the mall we came home for presents, pizza and cookie cake!

Children's Museum
The girls and I went to the Children's Museum today. It was the last day of my membership, so I wanted to squeeze in one last visit! Unusual for us - we went all by ourselves! We had a really good time. It was the most deserted I've ever seen the place, so we got to do everything!
Potty Training
We started part time potty training Elle on Tuesday. By part time I mean she's only in panties at home. So far it's going pretty well. Her phone is a great incentive to get her to sit on the potty. And of course, when in doubt, put the 4 year old in charge!

Happy 4th!
We have enjoyed our holiday so far today! We went to see Brave this morning. Scarlett loved it and Elle enjoyed the nap. We came home to a picnic of hot dogs, chips and watermelon.
