Three Going on Fifteen

"Mommy, will you straight my hair? PLEASE? I need it longer longer. And I need my make up. Mrs. Amy likes when I have sparkly eye and sparkly lips and sparkly cheeks. Oh, and can I have a drink of your coffee? I LOVE coffee." Yep, that's what I'm dealing with :o)

Crawfish

Thursday was Match Day for LSU Med Students. Cameron of course knew he matched here for the rest of his oral surgery residency, but he got to come to the festivities anyway. They had aceremony to hand out everyone's letters followed by a crawfish boil. Scarlett had been talking about this for WEEKS. How she loves crawfish, she can't wait to have crawfish at daddy's dental school, she's going to eat them - not the claws, just the tails. She sees pictures of crawfish everywhere and has to point them out. She drags me to the seafood section of the grocery store just to see the crawfish. She really truly had me believing she was going to eat one. Well, it went a little something like this:

Haha...I should have known! She wouldn't touch them. Even when I peeled them for her, she wouldn't touch it.

Here's a few more pictures from the day:

Shades

I've got two cool girls here! And good thing they know how to share :o)

Aquarium

We made a trip to the aquarium on Friday. Trying to take advantage of my yearly pass before it expires! It was not Elle's first visit, but it was the first where she was actually alert enough to know what was going on and she LOVED it! She was so excited to talk to the fish. Scarlett loves it there too. She kept talking about seeing "pink fish and blue fish".

Here's Elle - so excited when we first walked in
