Pumpkin Carving

We've been having so much fun with all our Halloween activities, that we almost forgot pumpkin carving!    We squeezed it in tonight right around dinner.

Hence the little spaghetti face...

I'm trying to get Elle to stick her hand in there.

She thinks...NO WAY!

Scarlett was a good sport this year with cleaning them out (although she wouldn't use her hands either...she needed the scraper)

Leave the carving to the skilled surgeon

This one is all done!

And now there's 2!

Halloween Playdate Party

We had a Halloween party with our old MOMS club friends today.  We don't see most of these guys too often anymore, so it's fun to catch up when we do!

Pumpkin Patch Field Trip - UPDATED

Today was Scarlett's very first field trip!  They went to the pumpkin patch (yep, same one that we went to a couple weeks ago).  The teachers discouraged having the babies go on the tractor ride, so I stayed up at the front with my little buddies, Elle and Chloe.  After seeing those people crammed on the tractor like sardines, I was pretty happy to play with babies in the wide open field :o)

Goldfish party

They are back with the pumpkins!

Scarlett and Elle and friends running circles.  The class got to ride on a school bus to the patch and Scarlett was beyond thrilled!

Picnic for snack time

Here's a few of Scarlett picking out her pumpkin (the part I missed!)

Boo at the Zoo

We took the girls to the Baton Rouge Zoo for the first time today for their Boo at the Zoo festival.  The kids wore costumes and trick or treated through the zoo.  It was a good bit smaller than the New Orleans zoo, but still very nice!  We saw a lot of animals that we don't see at our zoo.   The kids loved being in costume too.  I didn't get as many pictures as I had hoped (that Elle is a RUCKUS!!), but here's the best of the best :o)

Here's my little Ariel

Cameron and the kids

Ahhh...a few moments of relaxation with them strapped down :o)

Best buddies and fellow princesses

This one wears me out.  But she's just SO precious.

15 Months

Can you believe my baby is 15 months old already?  We had her checkup yesterday and she screamed her way through it.  Screamed in the waiting room, screamed at the nurse who tried to weigh her, screamed at the doctor who tried to examine her, screamed the whole wait until the nurse came back in to give her shots, and of course screamed for those too.  She has little red dots all over her face today because she burst blood vessels she was screaming so hard.  So anyway, through all that screaming, we found out she's 21 lbs 10 oz (40%) and 31 inches tall (70%).  Tall and skinny.  Other than a snot nose, she's doing great!

Typical 15 month old here..."Mom, I can't be bothered with your camera.  Can't you see I'm BUSY?  Busy, busy busy!!"  (But isn't her dress adorable??)

To get over the stress of the screaming, we went shopping at the bright new shiny Target.  Elle got a pair of silver glittery ballet flats that make me happy :o)  So adorable.  And I have a feeling I'll have to make a return trip because a certain other little miss is never going to let it slide that Elle has glitter shoes and SHE doesn't.

Pumpkin Patch

Today was our 3rd annual trip to the Montz Pumpkin Patch!  It was a beautiful day and we were lucky to have friends along for our outing today.  We came home with 4 great pumpkins and Scarlett informed me when we walked in the door that she wanted pumpkin pie for lunch!

Girls getting ready to go!

In the patch

I have a million of these trying to get the 4 kids to look.  I wasn't successful in getting them all to look at the camera (what do you expect with a 1, 2, 3, and 4 year old?), but this is my favorite of the bunch.  I just love the look between Scarlett and Anabelle...best friends sharing secrets :o)
