Call me crazy

So I've been trying to do more homemade and less pre packaged food lately. Well that's a slippery slope because once you stop buying chicken nuggets, you start to wonder what else you can make from scratch. Enter my best friend Pinterest. I kept seeing recipes for taco seasoning. We like tacos a lot so I was buying a lot of taco seasoning packets. Those things are expensive! And the Internet tells me they are filled with bad stuff. So might as well give it a shot, right? I've used it twice now and the taste is great. And it's far less salty tasting than the packets. So what's my next logical step? Lets find a homemade ranch packet! Those things REALLY aren't cheap! I've tried this recipe out a few times now. First tossed with olive oil & red potatoes, next in my ranch chicken nuggets & tonight in our crockpot ranch pork chops. So far I'm loving it! I haven't tried it as a dip yet...that will probably be next! So far my wallet is loving it too since I keep all these spices on hand at home.

Just in case you were wondering how I might have gotten so crazy...check out these monkeys Iive with!

Those are some cute monkeys you got there!! I'm glad someone's finally tried the homemade taco seasoning. We eat Tacos a good bit here and I keep seeing the pinterest blog for it and kept saying naaahhhhh. I'll have to go buy some onion powder now!
