New Tricks!

So here's our sweet little Elle...

Who is fast becoming a big girl!

She's started pulling up now. She wants to stand ALL the time! Still no crawling, but she does roll all over the place and is pretty good at getting into what she gets her eye on.

And here's Scarlett - showing off her new Mickey dress. We got the tshirt in Disney and she refused to wear it until I sewed a skirt on it. Now she LOVES it!

Little Rascals 2011

Today was our first parade of the 2011 Mardi Gras season - and Elle and Cameron's first parade EVER! Scarlett and I are old pros now :o) We had a great time and the weather was beautiful (even verging on a little hot!)

Here's the girls before the parade.

New Stuff for Baby Elle

So I planned on using the same Classic Pooh bedding that I had for Scarlett with Elle. We put it in there and it stayed for 7 months...until we finally decided, yes, Scarlett definitely did those bumpers in! She stood on them so much that they just weren't standing up anymore. You could prop them up and make them look good until Elle got in there and started rolling around and pulling them up and crushing them back down. Yep, it was time for some new ones! It's quite a task to find bumpers without the whole 8 million piece bedding set, but I found these at Babies R Us and I love them!! The pink is so cute and I'm loving the update!

And her sheets say "I'm a little princess". Haha...how appropriate! I think this one is following big sister already :o) They were playing with magic wands last night and both couldn't have been happier!

Disney!!

Ok, so my Disney post is a little overdue - but we've been recovering from all the fun and there's just so much to say!
We had a great time! We did the drive in 2 days - 6 hours (of driving) the first day, 3 1/2 hours the next day. It worked out well. Both girls had a DVD player that kept them occupied and I played car gymnastics to get everyone snacks, drinks, toys, etc etc.

Our first day started out with breakfast with the princesses in Cinderella's castle in the Magic Kingdom. It was so cute and so fun! Scarlett just adored all her time talking to and seeing the princesses.

Breakfast with her favorite - ARIEL!!
Scarlett REALLY wanted to meet Tiana too, so we were lucky to happen upon her garden. She was about to head out to lunch, but we were lucky enough to squeeze in some time with her. She was such a great character...talked to us all about New Orleans!
It was a rainy day, so we did some indoor rides and ended up having to call it quits around lunch. Scarlett hadn't been feeling well from a previous ear infection (yes, we saw the doctor twice and called the on call doctor twice before this), so we left after lunch and Cameron and Ron took her to the urgent care center. Well, 104.2 fever and ear infection still raging. She got on the RIGHT antibiotic and we gave her tylenol and motrin around the clock and she was doing much better after that.

Day 2 was Epcot!
We started out with another princess breakfast. Scarlett was thrilled again to talk to Cinderella, Belle, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and especially Ariel.

After breakfast we rode some rides. One of Scarlett's favorites was the Test Track. She just BARELY made that height requirement of 40 inches, but she got on with Cameron and Ron and giggled the whole time. We saw lots more characters and rode more rides. Elle had a blast too. She loved the characters and loved sitting in my lap looking around on all the rides.

Day 3 was a little chilly, but that didn't stop us from making the most of the Animal Kingdom. We rode rides, saw some animals and ended the day with the Safari ride which was really cool!

Day 4 we went back to the Magic Kingdom and the weather was perfect! We hit Dumbo first, then made our way through most of the park riding the rides we missed the first day. This was such an awesome week to go because we got right on almost everything with no wait.

The girls got their personalized Mickey ears as we were leaving the park. They look so cute!

Happy Valentines Day!

We had a great Valentines Day yesterday! Scarlett took her treats to school and exchanged with all her friends. She brought a bag home of cards and candy and remembered who almost all of them were from. She pulled them out one by one "This is from so and so..." Cameron sent us girls some beautiful flowers and gave me an awesome new Tassimo coffee maker. I'm in love with it! Cappuccino all the time :o) We got a couple little presents for the girls too. Alice in Wonderland on blu ray and a Buzz Lightyear doll for Scarlett and a spring dress and Daisy Duck for Elle.
