I've been getting TONS of questions on the new baby's name. Well, the good news is that we have picked one! At least a first name. You know us and middle names...can't commit. We picked Scarlett's middle name about 4 days before she was born. The bad news for all of you is we are keeping it a SECRET until she's born! At least that's the plan for now. I'm bad at secret keeping. ALMOST as bad as Scarlett. But not quite. And no one try any tricks because Scarlett doesn't know the name. I may have mom brain, but I'm not that stupid!
For now we'll just lovingly refer to her as "baby sister". Happy guessing ;o)
Oh, and I added a ticker off to the side for everyone to keep up with how baby sister is doing. 20 weeks yesterday - half way there!

My baby is going to school!!
We registered Scarlett for pre K 2 this morning! I'm so excited she was able to get a spot at my top pick for her - St. Philip Neri. She starts in August going 3 half days a week (8:30-11:30). They do art, music, centers and even enrichment activities. I'm super excited about her adorable little uniform too! They are red and white gingham dresses. So adorable! We find more out about which class she's in during open house in August. Scarlett seems thrilled to be getting to go to school! Hope the excitement lasts :o)

Have you ever wondered...
What a 2 year old would do if she happened upon an unused Vera bag? What would she deem worthy to carry in her new found purse? Well I have the answer today.

First off, we have lunch (all felt). Juice, carrot, strawberry, lemon (or watermelon according to Scarlett), and ice cream. Very balanced. At least she's got her fruits and veggies in there. Also important- a princess sticker, a naked Jasmine, Ariel and Cinderella and the pig she caught on Mardi Gras. Oh, and a hairbow. You know, just incase her bangs get in her eyes.

Also, wanted to share my latest craft project. I made a ruffle sleeve tank top for Scarlett and a matching onesie for the new baby girl.
My favorite part are the little ruffles on the butt!! The front didn't turn out exactly as I'd pictured, but hey - not bad for a first try!

I can't wait to get to Joann's again. I have SO many projects that I'm dying to do!

Mardi Gras 2010
Happy Mardi Gras everyone! Today we celebrated by going with our friends to the Metairie parades. Scarlett and I had a blast. Scarlett hasn't stopped talking about the floats she saw and how she "caught beads!!". Her two prized catches of the day though were a tiny stuffed pig and a rose. Here's the pictures!

Enjoying Doritos with Brooke
Still waiting for the parade to start!

Oreos with Grayson and Will - still waiting on the parade!
Finally - here it comes! Time to get up in the ladders! To all of y'all non-New Orleans folks - these seats are screwed on top of a 6 foot ladder so the kids can see without sitting on your shoulders the whole time. Scarlett LOVED it!!

The Budweiser Clydesdales. Bummer I missed a picture of Rachael Ray - the grand marshal!

After a few floats have gone by. Looking more festive now!
At home after the festivities. Scarlett wanted to continue to catch beads, so she was throwing them at me and Cameron. She was very sweet to tell us to watch our faces though because beads hurt.

More Valentine Fun
To celebrate Valentines Day yesterday, we went out to brunch at Copeland's. Cameron and I both had omlettes which were amazing, and Scarlett of course had mac and cheese and chicken fingers. Scarlett and I also enjoyed a very valentines Shirley Temple (Scarlett's new fav - "cherry coke juice"). After brunch we came home for presents. Cameron surprised me with 2 boxes of Godiva chocolates and the new Lauren Conrad book (as well as the old one for my re-reading pleasure). He also got me a pair of black converse (less of a surprise since I emailed him the link on that one). Scarlett got a baby Jasmine doll to go in her castle, a panda shirt that she's been obsessed with and a new princess sticker / coloring book. I picked out Cameron a new pair of flip flops and Scarlett picked him out a "go Saints" hat. She told me in the car one day she wanted to get it for him. Of course Cameron's presents didn't end up being surprises because Scarlett told him we got him presents and being the cheater that he is, he asked her what they were. She immediately replied "daddy presents - hat, shoes!". We had a very nice day!

I love Valentines Day!
Especially when it starts 2 days before Valentines Day! Scarlett and I got a special flower delivery today from Cameron. We both love them! Scarlett carried hers around all night. She was SO excited!
Here's mine - pink and white roses...my favorite!

And Scarlett with hers.
She picked a piece of baby's breath to smell.
Not sure what we are doing yet on Sunday, but we are looking forward to a fun day together!
