Man...I am falling down on the blogging recently! I guess that's what happens when you live out of a suitcase with no laptop in sight! It's been a fun few weeks back and forth to Atlanta! Our impromptu evacuation vacation was good times for all..well, except for that 15 hour car ride there. My visit this past week was great too and we really enjoyed getting to see everyone!
Scarlett had her 9 month doctor's visit today. I had to reschedule it since it was originally booked during the evacuation fun. She's 20 lbs 5 oz and 28 1/2 inches long now. The new doctor is really nice and the office is nice and big too! Scarlett had a good checkup. We're going to have to work with her on being such a picky eater and try to transition her to table foods between now and 12-15 months. We're also on the lookout for allergies since she seems to have a touch of eczema (it's not a bad case and the doctor seems to think she may grow out of it). Nothing shocking though since Colin and I are both allergy-prone!
Well, that's all from here. I will get some new pictures up soon. I figure everyone can stand to wait a few days since almost everyone just saw her! I'm getting a CD of her 9 month photo shoot soon so I can't wait to share a few of my favorites from that!

Cameron's on call, which means I'm bored and took a bunch of pictures!
So it seems that everytime Cameron is on call I get really bored around here and break out the camera for a Scarlett photo shoot. I've got a bunch of random stuff to update on so here we go...
First, it's been awhile but I planted some flowers in the front. I'm still working on the back...I dug my trench for my border, but all this rain is cramping my style on finishing...so pictures will have to come later on that.
Next up, some house pictures. We're finally getting some pictures hung! Here's a few pictures of the office...and note Scarlett with her surgical knot tying practice kit :o) Also, I made a shelf for Scarlett's room to display all her beautiful piggy banks.
Finally, some pictures of Scarlett!
Here's her with lunch on her face. Garden veggies..mmmmm....
I tried to re-create a picture of me from when I was a baby in my crib surrounded by stuffed animals. Well, I don't remember the picture exactly, but either I was younger and unable to move from the mound of stuffed animals or my parents were really fast with the camera, but here's the best I got before Scarlett started standing up and climbing the stuffed animals!
And finally, sitting in her cradle. I tried to get her laying down, but she just tried to escape!!

Birthday Weekend and Baby Teeth
Well, my birthday has come and gone...25...man I'm old now! We had a fun weekend with my mom and Mark and baby Peaches in town. Friday we went down into the French Quarter and I showed mom and Mark around the shops, Jackson Square and the Mississippi River. We had lunch at an outdoor cafe with live jazz so that was fun! Thanks to everyone for all my birthday wishes and gifts!
Poor Scarlett had a bit of a hard time this weekend...she's been pretty fussy...and last night I discovered the reason. She's got a little tooth poking out on the bottom! You can just barely feel it coming through, so it will still be a little while before I get some good pictures of her with teeth!

Crawling!!
After a good while of thinking about it and rocking back and forth, Scarlett is officially on the move!! I got a so-so video of it. Too bad she figured it out at 7pm and was too sleepy to crawl very much. I promise to put up some better pictures and video when she is more awake and happy to be moving around!
