Weekend visitors

Gigi and Donk came to visit us this weekend. We had a relaxing weekend and a nice visit. We went down to the French Quarter yesterday and walked around for a little while. We had intended to get coffee and beignets down there, but the line was insane, so we went to the outdoor Market Cafe for breakfast instead. Scarlett enjoyed the live jazz band!

After that we walked through the French Market. Scarlett scored a few treats including Mardi Gras beads with mermaids on them (she's deemed that the mermaids are Ariel), then a giant lollipop. She told us this was "cream". I guess lollipops and ice cream are one in the same to her!
As we were leaving we headed up to sit by the river for a few minutes.
